Brit funk has been rocking Jazz Cafe’s walls since we opened over 30 years ago, and we’re bringing in an all-star supergroup of the musicians who shaped the sound to celebrate its golden era.

City Funk Orchestra began life in 2010 with a 6 month residency at City Of London's exclusive Club Ten before taking their finely polished, authentic brand of 70's/80's dance/funk to the South London venues that remain the heartland of true Brit soul fandom.

London’s answer to a late-night party band, loveable rogues The Fellas are actually J & The Rest plus guitar, sax, and drummer – turning them from a four-piece supper club band into a 7-piece party band, with a sound big enough to fill the dancefloor.

Hailing from North London, singer-songwriter Pimms heads south of the river to bring you a night of soul & funk, inspired by icons Etta James, Nina Simone & Barbra Streisand.

Singing Pianist, Adam Kharita, brings his all-star trio to Old St Records. Expect an eclectic brew of songs, fusing well-known covers with grooves and soul.

A modern take on vintage 70s soul funk from Crowd Company, one of the UK’s top soul funk bands. The 8 piece band is known for rich songwriting combined with catchy hooks, in the pocket grooves, virtuoso musicianship and features three outstanding soulful vocalists.

The Palm Beat Club are an innovative DJ collective that fuse live musical elements with an electrifying blend of Afro House, Baile Funk, and Amapiano.

London's longest running one-nighter club. It was founded on the 3rd of July 1980 and was held at Gossip's on Dean Street until November 1995 when it moved to us. It is a great fun night of boogie woogie, ska, blues, funk and world music. It promotes live bands every week.
