QUEER JAZZ exists to showcase and celebrate queer jazz artists and to nurture the emerging queer jazz scene.

Expect a raucous atmosphere of burning bebop, playing the greats such as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Charlie Parker, performed by a different house band of British jazz stars every Monday.

Ayo Vincent is a jazz pianist, composer and arranger from South West London. A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and mentee of the British jazz legend Julian Joseph, Ayo regularly performs across the UK.

In this concert, the Guildhall Big Band and their director Matt Skelton bring Thelonious Monk’s music to the big band canvas.

Alex Koo isn’t your typical jazz pianist. Half Belgian, half Japanese, he was raised in a quiet corner of West Flanders by a former Belgian missionary and a Japanese peace activist—an upbringing between cultures, and his music reflects exactly that.

Swing into Tues night with the Alec Harper Quartet. Expect uptempo swing and bop infused with dizzying musicianship: catch regulars including Ferg Ireland, Nick Costley-White and Will Cleasby alongside Alec, as they blaze a path through the changes.

This fantastic "Groove" gig features the band of guitarist Bobby Quigley, a formidable young musician who includes work with the likes of Pete Ray Biggin, Imaani and Katie Leone on an impressive cv.
