We had a blast doing New Music Monday nights last year so we're hoping to make them a more regular thing in 2026. And in that spirit, the first Monday of the year sees a selection of new acts plus some familiar faces playing new material. Going to be a good start to the year and it's free entry!

Every Monday, Nickel Bar plays host to up-and-coming artists, handpicked by former BBC presenter and Radio 1 DJ Jodie Bryant, in partnership with Yamaha. Three new acts take the stage every Monday.

Eli Carvajal

Connection songs that bare the light between us. Open-hearted, wide-eyed and playful, Eli Carvajal writes of lived experience in intimate, intense detail.

Sam Keanu is a musician known for his dynamic pop sound and engaging live performances. Starting out as a drummer, he gradually taught himself multiple instruments and uses a looper board on stage to create rich, layered arrangements.

Tuesday's "Spirit & Soul" live open mic Host - Hannah Khemoh, Oscar Stieler on Keys with support, seasoned musicians. Troybar is the hub where many artists have performed and blessed as they journeyed on.

Mix serious soulful vocals with one hell'a groove on the guitar. Settle in for a proper little session from Denquar, you ain't gonna be leaving any time soon.
