Police Dog Hogan

After the release of their album Overground – which spent four weeks on the UK Folk albums chart – Police Dog Hogan returned to steady touring, with dates taking them across the UK. The band also spent much of 2023 in the studio, releasing regular new singles to streaming platforms beginning with the stunning ‘Just Breathe’ in April – each track produced (with the band) by George Murphy, who also produced Overground.
In May 2024 the band spent three days at Middle Farm Studios in Devon recording what turned out to be their latest long player, Lightning Strike. Refreshingly, recorded direct to 2-inch tape with very minimal overdubbing, this almost live album, released in October 2024, immediately became the core of the band’s live show. A new Christmas single, ‘Pull Away’ was released earlier in November. The song, the story of a historical successful Christmas Day maritime rescue, was created for the R.N.L.I. and celebrates its 200th anniversary.
