Since 2016, our house band Stratos—led by Mercury Prize-nominated Rio Kai—has been taking audiences on a captivating journey through the vast soundscapes of jazz. From its deep-rooted traditions to modern, genre-blurring expressions, Stratos invites you into an ongoing conversation where musicians and listeners explore the heart of jazz together.
Featuring Rio Kai on bass, Dom Pusey on saxophone, Mike De Souza on guitar, and Zoe Pascal on drums. Every performance offers a fresh perspective on the art of improvisation and musical dialogue.
Situated along the tranquil canalside of Hackney Wick, Grow provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of immersive live music, blending urban energy with the cool sophistication of jazz.
Enjoy a hearty, homemade evening menu and drinks including signature cocktails, organic wine, lagers, IPA and a range of soft and hot drinks.
The evening kicks off with an outdoor performance on the terrace in the summer, where you can savour the sounds of jazz while watching the serene River Lea flow by. As the night progresses, the music moves indoors, turning Grow’s intimate venue into a vibrant jazz haven.
