Joined by Rishi Pelham (bandmate from Urvashi), Charlie Axel (founder of Axl Group, a beautiful jazz fusion project), and Ashley Blasse, a multi-faceted guitar and string instrumentalist, this project addresses a yearning for unmasked, fully present music and amalgamates elements of the sounds Anna most connects with.
The project blends Anna’s most resonant influences, weaving together the concepts of cross-rhythms and expressive interpretations drawn from Flamenco traditions of Southern Spain, the tabla-based rhythmic cycles of Indian classical music, with hard bop and modal jazz in an
experimental approach. Expect to share authentic moments of reflection, curiosity, despair, excitement.
