Leading his band from the drum chair, Alex’s music pushes a fresh rhythmic and dynamic realm of live dance music leaning on nu-jazz, house, broken beat, DnB, funk, and experimental sounds. Flood’s live set delivers hard-hitting dance energy from start to finish with tight masterful drums, big bottom bass, lush keyboard harmonies, and floating jazz flute melodies.

Alex has worked with some heavyweight artists including Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah), Elena Pinderhughes, Weedie Braimah, Àbáse, Horatio Luna, Cazeaux OSLO, Vivian Sessoms, Emma Volard and Nelson Dialect to name a few.

2023 saw Flood align with Berlin’s Jakarta Records to release his third album OSCILLATE, forging a new direction in dance music and bringing together Australian & European artistry, energy and collaboration.
