Summer 2023, saw singer and songwriter Polly Gibbons release her ninth album, ‘As It Is’. A departure from straight-ahead swinging jazz, this record showcases Polly’s evolution as an artist – her first collection of all-original songs written, arranged and produced by Polly and co-produced by long-time musical collaborator, James Pearson.
‘As It Is’ showcases Polly’s powerful skills as a songwriter, weaving together a wider range of her influences, referencing Soul, Gospel and RnB while staying rooted in her jazz heritage, creating a blend of genres.
