Roswell Road
TwickFolk at The Cabbage Patch, TW1 3SZ , [Venue Details]Zoë Wren and Jasmine Watkiss launched Americana duo Roswell Road (formerly Roswell) after an impromptu open mic night collaboration. Roswell Road’s multi-instrumental harmony-infused sound has been likened to First Aid Kit, Fleetwood Mac and the Indigo Girls.
Winning Purbeck Rising in their first year as a band, Roswell Road’s first release earned the title of Fatea EP of the Year, and the duo went on to be named winners of the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Competition.
Fresh from tours in Germany and France, and an appearance at Costa Festival Ibiza, Roswell Road are currently working on their debut album, which features their signature candid songwriting on themes from mental health and sibling love to real-life activist adventures at sea.
The duo have supported artists including Catherine McGrath, John Smith and Dea Matrona, and played festivals from Cambridge Folk Festival and Wimborne Folk Festival to the Fête de la musique Genève. The tour for their second EP, “Come Home”, included sold-out shows at the Green Note in London, The Stables in Milton Keynes and The Shelley Theatre in Bournemouth.
