Folktales’ Afro-Latin Fiesta is back for a second celebration at Jamboree following an electrifying sold-out debut, bringing a rich tapestry of global live music to shake up your groovy weekend. Come take a trip through the streets of Rio de Janeiro via Tanzania, as we welcome the legendary Afro-Braziliansinger-songwriter Aleh Ferreira, best known as the frontman of legendary Brazilian funk band “Banda Black Rio”. Born of a priestess of the Umbanda religion, Aleh’s musical inspiration flows from the drums and melodies of the “Terreiro” which gave birth to Samba and other modern music genres.
His unique and soulful voice combined with a his lyrical prowess over electrifying & danceable Samba-funk grooves have earned him numerous national and international awards as both artist, composer & producer – making him one of the most prominent contemporary figures of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) in the diaspora.
