STEVE HENSBY BAND
Steve Hensby Band are splitting at the seams with an assault to the musical senses with elements of funk, soul, ska, world, a sprinkle of psychedelia and a dash of folk. The 11-piece ensemble regularly perform on the Australian festival circuit and features a healthy sized horn section. It has been said that they are very danceable!
Steve Hensby is a multi-faceted musician, in terms of both talent and experience. The Berklee College Of Music-trained Hensby spent the better part of the last decade fronting the Perth band, Tracksuit.
Since then Steve has been around the block playing with Nick Littlemore (Empire Of The Sun), in the band Silver Scene, playing mandolin with Steve Poltz and bass for Phils Finest Hour (pre Dirty Secrets) to name a few!
2017 saw the release of his eponymously-titled debut solo album, a double set brimming with a variety of genres, moods, arrangements, covers and humour throughout.
