Ella Clayton + Henry Grace
Dalston Eastern Curve Garden, E8 3DF , [Venue Details]Revel in the grounded lyrics and folk melodies of an up-and-coming musical storyteller.
Ella Clayton is a singer/songwriter born and raised in East London. Having developed her soulful-folk sound busking on the streets of Brighton and Berlin, Ella has caught the ears of a growing community of music lovers around the world with her honest storytelling and spell-binding voice. Her first album, ‘Murmurations’ led to her being selected by George Ezra to perform at Latitude Festival, and then to record her second album in his studio the following year. The first tracks from this record are set to be released in the coming months.
'Ella writes wistful, highly emotive tales: a tender kind of modern folk featuring well laid out stories of life… think elements of Laura Marling, Nick Drake, and Jeff Buckley. She’s one of those singer-songwriters who speaks right into your heart, homing in, unerringly, with pinpoint accuracy to expose your feelings, and share them with you' - Phil Taylor, review of RSD performance at Rough Trade, Nottingham.
