Folk and roots music veterans Hatful of Rain are thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated new album “Waystation”.
Known for their blend of fine harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and varied instrumentation, the band’s latest project draws on five years of writing and playing with newer members, Scott and Max joining original members Phil and Chloe. To mark the album release, Hatful are hosting a London celebration of these new recordings at the bands favourite venue – Camden’s Green Note.
“It’s exciting to have another chance to put our music out there” said lead singer Chloe Overton “life has a way of presenting you with experiences that just have to be reflected on, throwing up tunes and moods – and just getting us all rocking!”
“Waystation” will feature 11 new original tracks composed by the band, many rooted in the band’s traditional signature folk and americana style and others pushing in a rockier direction featuring Scott’s drums and Matt’s electric guitar twang. With its rich acoustic guitar work, intricate harmonies, and a mix of traditional and contemporary influences the new album is a represents yet another evolution from their earlier albums.
