With their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Blood Ties’, childhood friends Christie Gardner and Helen Dixon have proved themselves a new duo with something special going on.
While informed by a deep understanding and love of folk music, with references to Karen Dalton and Julie Collins a regular occurrence, their music is also modern, in line with the likes of Julia Jacklin, Laura Marling and Mitski. It has drawn praise from publications like Rolling Stone UK, Uncut, The Line of Best Fit, The Times and more whilst also getting spins across BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music where they were recently interviewed by Nathan Shepherd.
