The evening is in aid of War Child and hosted by Tony Minvielle of Jazz FM with contributions from outstanding established actors including Karen Bryson and Kathryn Drysdale for the spoken word elements of the album.
Collette Cooper is a multi-nominated, award-winning singer, writer, performer and critically acclaimed artist signed to the independent label Thelonious Punk Records championed by BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music, Soho Radio and Jazz FM. Her inspirations go back as far as Bessie Smith and Mozart.
Peace On Earth
An accumulation of her three-year project, Darkside of Christmas, this eight-song collection, plus four digital only bonus tracks, features her unique take on seasonal classics like ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Coventry Carol’ and original tracks like ‘Run Santa Baby’ (BBC Radio 6 Music Track of the Day and JazzFM) plus the brand new ‘It’s Christmas Time.’
Collette is difficult to fit into any box – she has a unique sound of her own.
