All London's live music

Funk

The Brit Funk Association

The Jazz Cafe, NW1 7PG , [Venue Details]

Brit funk has been rocking Jazz Cafe’s walls since we opened over 30 years ago, and we’re bringing in an all-star supergroup of the musicians who shaped the sound to celebrate its golden era.

Saturday,
7 Feb 2026
@7.00pm

Featuring a 10-piece collective of members from Beggar & Co, Central Line, Hi-Tension and ex-members of Light of the World and Incognito, the band channel the unmistakable groove born in London’s late 70s underground — a fusion of jazz, funk and soul that came to define a generation.

This isn’t a tribute but a high-energy celebration of the movement itself, showcasing Top 40 hits like ‘Somebody (Help Me Out)’, ‘Time’, ‘British Hustle’ and ‘I Shot the Sheriff’, alongside funk anthems ‘Always There’, ‘Walkin’ Into Sunshine’ and ‘Pete’s Crusade’.
