Roundhouse, NW1 8EH , [Venue Details]Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Glen Hansard returns to London’s Roundhouse as part of his 2026 UK and European tour, ahead of a brand-new solo album.
Hansard’s journey began in Dublin in the early 1980s, busking on the streets at just 13. In 1990, he formed the rock band The Frames, achieving national acclaim with albums like Fitzcarraldo (1996) and Burn the Maps (2004), and performing alongside legends including Bob Dylan.
As a solo artist, Hansard has released critically acclaimed albums including Rhythm and Repose (2012), the Grammy-nominated Didn’t He Ramble (2015), and This Wild Willing (2019), touring globally and captivating audiences in iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, Radio City, The Royal Albert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House.
He has collaborated with celebrated artists including Eddie Vedder, Robbie Robertson, and participated in tributes to Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, and Patti Smith. In recent years, Hansard continues to tour with Markéta Irglová as part of The Swell Season, releasing the acclaimed album Forward and performing across Europe and North America.
