@7.30pm

David’s music is a mix of traditional ballads, his own very personal songs, and some contemporary works. All are underpinned by his gentle nuanced guitar playing supporting the tradition of story and ballad singing. Folk London likened him to Chris Wood as a songwriter, and he was a semi-finalist at the Young Folk Musician Awards in 2011.

Sue’s skilful and prolific songwriting have made her a hit on the Northeast folk scene. Her songs range from feisty protests to dreamy lyrical ballads, which capture her love of the outdoors. Her distinctive voice and accomplished guitar playing had her supporting Robb Johnson during his last visit ‘up north’.
