Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, W1D 4HT , [Venue Details]Over the years, Avishai Cohen has been known to seek out and introduce a new generation of young talent to his music and to his worldwide audiences and fans. Many of them have gone on to make their own way in music with great success.
At the Jazz In Marciac Festival in France in 2024, Avishai brought together a new generation of rising stars on stage for the first time, all connected to Avishai and his musical influence. This hand-picked line-up will perform new Avishai compositions, fan favourites and a few surprise tunes throughout the set, revealing the young fresh talent and all their versatility.
Itay Simhovich, at just 20 years old, is a young, gifted pianist, recently discovered by Avishai, who performed with him for the first time in Marciac. A rising star in the making.
Yonatan Voltzok is a young big band leader and composer in his own right. Yonatan always plays with variety and powerful solos, coming from the very best teachers and schooling with mentors such as Jimmy Heath and Slide Hampton.
You may not know Yuval Drabkin, but you will soon recognise what a unique voice he has. Having recorded with Avishai on several occasions for film and new unreleased music, expect to hear more from him soon.
Eviatar Slivnik is a jazz drummer and composer based in New York City. He started playing the drums at the age of eight and trained at the Arison School of Arts and the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts.
