The dynamic eight-piece lineup also features Steve King, saxophone, (Adam Ant, Home Service), Dick Hanson, trumpet, (Wilson Pickett, Supercharge), Janos Bajtala, keys, (Bluescasters, Earl Jackson), Graeme Taylor, guitar, (Gryphon), Chris Belshaw, bass (Shakey Vic) and Ed Spevock, drums (Amboy Dukes, Babe Ruth).
This ensemble’s driving sound mixes up Southern Soul and Chicago Rhythm & Blues along with New Orleans funk and Latin rhythms together with a dash of Ska, all stirred and shaken to produce some of the best swinging, jumping tempos you have heard for a long time. Bobby Bland meets Joe Tex with a hint of Percy Mayfield and more, all enhanced by the soulful vocals of Linda Hall, (The Crystals).
