Joe Hymas is best known for his wildfire mandolin playing in rockgrass band Hayseed Dixie, but he is a multi-instrumentalist, equally adept at fingerpicking guitar styles and clawhammer banjo. The trio is completed by bassist Richard Partridge. In the summer of 2025, they played at Ely Folk Festival, Gower Americana & Roots Festival and at the Betsey Trotwood.
Monroe's Revenge have been a mainstay of the British bluegrass scene since 1987.They mine an extensive catalogue of songs drawn from a wide range of genres but especially American old-time and traditional bluegrass.
