The artist’s versatile repertoire – spanning devotional, ghazal, Sufi, Punjabi folk and Hindi film music – and exquisite voice looks to transcend borders and belief.
Born in the UK, with childhood roots in Malaysia, the artist’s family migrated to New Zealand while Kaur was young. Formally trained in Indian classical music from the age of 11, Kaur has maintained a steadfast commitment to her craft throughout her life.
Kaur has brought her voice to numerous countries around the world with concerts, devotional kirtan programmes and mehfils. In 2023, Kaur made history as the first Sikh artist to perform a solo concert in the Virsa Heritage Revived series at Haveli Barood Khana in Lahore, Pakistan. The concert has since amassed over 800,000 views on YouTube.
