Join us in London for the beginning of a new irregular series of live music nights in which pianist & composer Simeon Walker performs some of his newest music alongside the odd classic from the back catalogue ('Mono' anyone?!). Playing music for the piano, on the piano. The simplest of things.
He'll be joined at each show by a musical friend, also at the piano, to perform and showcase new, original music for the piano, including friends made whilst touring abroad and some of the most exciting homegrown music in the UK. On this occasion, the fabulous German pianist & composer Tom Blankenberg joins us. Once described thus: "As if Bill Evans were communing with Arvo Pärt with a touch of Sakamoto," Tom's music finds the most beautiful melodies hidden amongst chordal complexity and spacious, unfolding textures and tempi.
What kind of music will it be, you say? Well...who knows?! Who cares?!
