Roshi Nasehi presents Ramalama Remix
Camden People's Theatre, NW1 2PY , [Venue Details]An exciting re-boot of Roshi Nasehi's innovative solo multimedia theatre piece, Ramalama Ding Dong, inspired by real-life experiences of funny, surreal, and intimidating racism.
Her ingenious use of live looping and vocal processing technology creates a range of inventive effects onstage in real time, with dazzling and frequently hilarious results. As Roshi puts it, “repeating and repeating phrases to the point of absurdity”.
Roshi has performed the show at CPT's Sprint Fest in 2023, where it sold out, at Newcastle Star and Shadow, Brighton Fem Fest, Colchester Arts Centre and Summerhall as part of the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe, where the show attracted very positive audience and press responses.
Now she's bringing back a new version with maximalist experiments with sound art and maximum laughs. A rebooted, playful comic experiment which aims, in Roshi's words, to “turn something awful and hateful into a piece of art.”
