Winnie Ama is a Northern-Irish-Ghanaian music artist blending soulful vocals and lyrics with a vibrant blend of pop, disco, and dance. She enjoyed writing poetry growing up and discovered singing as an adult, culminating in her 2020 artist debut, drawing inspiration from jazz icons like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone.
Since her debut, she has opened for Macy Gray, Sister Sledge, and Cymande, and was named a BBC Introducing Rising Star, headlining their Latitude Festival stage. Accolades include RTE2FM’s ‘Rising Artist’ status, a TEDxStormont talk, a Ditto Music 'Rising Star' gold disk, and being named a 'One to Watch' by The Belfast Telegraph and The Irish Times. In 2025, she debuted her album ‘DEKA’ at SXSW Texas.
