“South Norwood Jazz Club” is a monthly Jazz night hosted by vocalist Kitty Whitelaw, with different musicians performing every month at the Stanley Arts Gallery.

Vocalist Kitty Whitelaw is joined this month by Guitarist Alban Claret and Double Bassist Chris Hyde-Harrison.

Taking the audience on a musical journey exploring lesser known jazz standards and new interpretations of songs within the jazz canon.

Alban Claret is a French jazz guitarist and composer. He started playing the guitar at the age of eight and later studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Netherlands with Martijn van Iterson. He has performed with many renowned musicians, such as Gregory Hutchinson, David Liebman, Nigel Price and Duncan Eagles.

A born, bred and buttered South Londoner Chris Hyde-Harrison composes music that is influenced by the broad range of genres, lineages and cultures that flow through the city. Since graduating from the Trinity Laban jazz masters program (Leverhulme Art Scholar) he can be found playing with his quartet Estraven as well as a variety of other projects.
