Originally gifted a guitar after her parents’ divorce, music quickly became a way for her to process her internal world. Now, bug crush is developing a cult-like following of audience members who are drawn to the nostalgia of bug crush’s sound.
Her debut EP as bug crush, Somehow I go in circles all the time (May 2025, produced by Oli Deakin), earned mentions from FLOOD Magazine, Stereogum, WXPN, and BrooklynVegan. The music has also reached playlists at WLUW and KEXP, extending her audience beyond the Brooklyn scene. Listeners drawn to artists like Babehoven, Elliott Smith, and The Sundays find themselves at home in bug crush’s world.
