Through melancholic melodies, dark poetic imagery, stirring vocals and fingerpicking guitar, this 23 year old Nashville, Tennessee native captivates with a slightly gothic-tinged folk, offering crystalline acoustic textures wrapped around her willowy, characterful voice and songwriting.
Surrounded by music and the art of songcraft just about all of her life, Maisy began playing viola at the age of 9, then guitar where she embraced fingerpicking under the guidance of the late David Olney. Inspired by the likes of Bert Jansch and Nick Drake mystically colliding with the vibe of Mazzy Star, Maisy has conceived a sound of her own with songs that are distinctly her own.
