Born in Wisconsin and now based in Los Angeles, violinist, vocalist and composer Nora Germain has established herself as one of the leading young voices on her instrument. Inspired by legends like Stéphane Grappelli and Stuff Smith, her playing combines a warm tone, melodic invention and an effortless sense of swing.
Nora has performed with artists including Jon Batiste, Jacob Collier, Martin Taylor, Sam Smith, Lewis Capaldi and Postmodern Jukebox. Most recently, she toured the United States with Jon Batiste on his Big Money tour and appeared on the Grammy Award-winning album of the same name.
Her career has taken her from clubs and festivals across the US and Europe to performances for the Gates Foundation, the Eckhart Tolle Foundation and the opening night of Jon Batiste's Jazz Club in the Bahamas. She has also collaborated with artists including JMSN and KNOWER, reaching a wide audience online with millions of views across social media.
For this special London date, Nora brings together a group of outstanding UK players for an evening celebrating the great swing tradition, alongside music from her own catalogue.
