A storyteller who speaks through his trumpet, Croker has developed a distinctive musical voice, moving seamlessly between jazz, hip hop, and neo-soul.
His latest project, Dream Manifest, is a cinematic collision of jazz, experimental hip hop and cosmic soul. It follows a celebrated run of releases including Afro Physicist, Escape Velocity, the GRAMMY-nominated Star People Nation, BLK2LIFE || A FUTURE PAST and Love Quantum — albums that have established him as one of the most forward-thinking artists in contemporary jazz.
The grandson of jazz trumpeter Doc Cheatham, who performed with Cab Calloway, Teddy Wilson and Billie Holiday, Croker continues a remarkable musical lineage while forging his own path. Along the way, he has lent his sound to recordings and collaborations with artists including J. Cole, Jill Scott, Wyclef Jean, Ari Lennox, Common and Dee Dee Bridgewater.
On stage, Croker blends trumpet, production, samples and acoustic instrumentation into an immersive live experience that reflects the full breadth of his musical vision.
