The Women and Musical Histories; 1789–1914 Conference will take place at the Royal Academy of Music in London from September 2 to 4, 2026. This three-day event explores the musical lives, historical legacies, and curatorial work of nineteenth-century women.
The event schedule comprises an Early Career Researcher development day on September 2, followed by the main conference program on September 3 and 4. Highlights include:
Keynote Address by Professor Sophie Fuller.
Performances & Concerts by Royal Academy of Music postgraduate students and an evening concert devoted to Academy women.
Exhibitions curated from the Academy's Museum and Collections.
