A key figure in the development of British soul, Omar has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Common, Angie Stone, Leon Ware and Lamont Dozier, while his early success with Gilles Peterson’s Talkin’ Loud label saw his debut album and single reach the UK Top 20.
Continuing to evolve, his recent work includes the album Brighter the Days, further expanding a career defined by an evolving sound that blends soul, R&B, jazz, funk and Caribbean rhythms.
