Adja
Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, W1D 4HT , [Venue Details]Brussels-based singer, composer and theatre maker Adja is one of the most compelling new voices to emerge from Europe's contemporary jazz and soul scene.
Her music sits at the intersection of jazz, alternative R&B and singer-songwriter traditions, combining expressive vocals with thoughtful songwriting that finds the universal in everyday experiences.
Influenced by artists including D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Lauryn Hill and Joni Mitchell, Adja's sound is both intimate and expansive, shaped by rich vocal harmonies, subtle grooves and a natural flair for storytelling. Whether performing on stage or creating theatre, she brings the same curiosity and emotional openness to her work, inviting audiences into songs that are as reflective as they are uplifting.
Following her selection as one of IMPALA's 100 Artists to Watch in 2024 and an appearance on Jamie Cullum's BBC Radio 2 programme, Adja released her much-anticipated debut album, Golden Retrieve Her, in 2025. It marked the arrival of an artist with a distinctive voice and an exciting future ahead.
