Anyone in attendance is invited to get involved, ask questions, connect with us and others, and have the chance to explore improvised performance within a low-pressure environment. Our intention is to nurture an inclusive, comfortable, creative space that prioritises community building and development of both individuals and the collective whole
How it works:
Laid out in the centre of the room will be three distinct sections — instrumental, vocal and electronic — that will flow in a casual performance. Each section will be led by one of our talented artists, and anyone in the room is open to walk around and have a closer look at what the performers are doing, or speak to the performers.
Everyone is welcome to then join in with the jam; whether you are a seasoned performer or simply curious, our artists will be there to guide you or show you how things work. The goal here is to break the boundary between audience and performer.
If you're not interested in performing, the room will be filled with comfortable seating and arts/crafts for you to engage with as you please. We are fostering a dynamic environment that combines sharing, learning, expressing and relaxing.
