Sue Tompkins is a British visual and sound artist based in Glasgow. She is best known as vocalist for the recently reformed indie rock band Life Without Buildings. Tompkins studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art and graduated in 1994.
Anne Bean is a London-based artist, born in Zambia, working with sculpture, installation, sound, photography, film, video, painting and drawing. Her artistic practice has been pivotal in the development of live and performance art in the UK.
Seke Chimutengwende is a choreographer and improviser working professionally in the UK and abroad for 20 years. His recent choreography, It begins in darkness, explores haunting and colonial legacies, and his new show, The Last Quartet, imagines a “last work” or “last attempt” at choreography.
Rod Melvin studied at Chelsea School of Art 1967-8, then at Reading University Fine Art Department where he and Anne Bean were founding members of performance group Moody & The Menstruators (aka The Moodies ). His subsequent music work has involved working and writing with Ian Dury (What A Waste, England’s Glory) and playing for Brian Eno recordings.
