Known for his distinctive vocal range, deep harmonies and emotionally direct songwriting, Jerome brings his live outfit of some of London’s finest jazz musicians to Upstairs at Ronnie’s.
Drawing influence from artists including D’Angelo, Marvin Gaye and Amy Winehouse, Jerome’s music carries the honesty and intensity of classic soul while pushing into new territory. His work explores love, sorrow, elation and frustration through a sound that refuses to sit within a single genre.
Since his 2016 debut Conversations, Jerome has continued to build his own musical world through releases including Moodswings Vol. 1, That Secret Sauce and 2024’s Submerge. Collaborating with producers and musicians including Talos, Blue Lab Beats, Joe Armon-Jones and Maxwell Owin, he has earned support from COLORS, Clash, BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6 Music, alongside sold-out headline shows across the UK and Europe.
His live performances are built around interaction and improvisation, with arrangements that leave space for the musicians around him. The result is soul with a London accent, shaped by the city’s many sounds and influences.
