Docklands Light Railway: Album Launch
Theatreship, E14 9SH , [Venue Details]From Acoustic Music x Falling Moon: Docklands Light Railway's self-titled debut album launch, with support from Camberwell Group and Squall.
Docklands Light Railway is the collaboration between multi-instrumentalists Wil Pritchard and Rosanna Martin. It is a project which weaves elements of improvisation and free association into off-kilter art/chamber pop songs. Their debut album (self-titled) was recorded with Liam Peter Guest and Joffe Walters at Location 9 studios.
Camberwell Group are two cellos and two saxaphones. A contemporary quartet bridging classical and the DIY scene, they make weaving, deeply emotional compositions in a stripped back orchestral format. Their EP Playing Music was released in April.
Squall is the experimental strings duo of Marika Tyler-Clark and Agathe Max, both multi-instrumentalists working primarily with strings played through a range of electronic devices. Through close, imaginative dialogue, they build compositions of layered improvisations and prepared sequences, drawing on genres from futuristic folk to electronic dance.
