Their live shows are atmospheric and unpredictable, shifting from intimate, spacious passages to driving rhythmic intensity, with improvisation at the heart of the experience.
Drawing on the sounds of contemporary London as much as Sun Ra, John Coltrane and Miles Davis, Raw Odoni make music that feels both grounded and otherworldly. Their debut EP, Ostara, received support from JazzFM, with tracks played by Chris Philips, Jez Nelson and Ruth Fisher. Their debut album, What Spirits Have You Woken is out Oct 26th
The quartet are Hubeth Spall (saxophones, spoken word and percussion), Matthew Shorter (piano), Dan Richards (double bass) and Christian Lewcock (drums).
