Step into a dreamlike soundscape where jazz meets the iconic melodies of Studio Ghibli.

The Troubadour goes back to its historical roots with Live Jazz every week.

The prize, given by The Musicians’ Company, is awarded annually to an exceptionally talented young British-based jazz musician, chosen by a jury and the voting audience present at the gig, which is held annually at PizzaExpress Live, Soho.

Curtis Stigers has had several top ten hits as a long-haired, blue-eyed soul singer and he’s written and sung an Emmy nominated TV theme song. He’s recorded a track for one of the biggest-selling pop albums of all time and he’s released nine critically-acclaimed, award-winning jazz albums.

A weekly session on Sunday evenings, the jams will be hosted by some of London’s finest: drummer Jas Kayser, pianist Rick Simpson, guitarist Nick Costley-White, trumpeter Sean Gibbs and tenor saxophonists Helena Kay and Riley Stone-Lonergan, each one hosting one session on rotation.
