Grow, E9 5LN , [Venue Details]London collective Illasoul are back after another sold-out and jam-packed night in April. Join us on June 13th at Grow Hackney for a special night of jazz club fusion, as we welcome London- based percussionist Richie Sweet!
Richie takes deep inspiration from the percussion centred music of Cuba and West Africa, and has performed & recorded with the likes of Jorja Smith, Oscar Jerome, Jas Kayser, and many more!
We also welcome one of the co-founders of Illasoul, Tai, aka 'TJT', & Illasoul Resident DJ Ralph Richards.
With a deep love for records and a knack for mixing different sounds, TJT brings something unique to every set he plays. He regularly broadcasts live on the airwaves, with sets across stations such as Voices, Radio 1001, Kindred, Subtle & Bangkok Community Radio. Recent highlights include supporting the legendary Patrick Forge, Into the Burrows Festival, and a six-hour all-night takeover at Grow Hackney. Expect a blend of Jazz, Broken Beat, UK Garage, Hip Hop, Reggae, House, and Jungle.
