Expect beautiful standards, soulful originals, and seasonal sparkle from two standout London-based vocalists: self-confessed jazz “musical magpie” Juliet Wood – with her penchant for breathing new life into lesser-known classics; and folk-jazz crossover singer-songwriter Rebecca Hollweg, presenting a set of twinkly originals and songs from the UK and European songbook. Bookending the night, host singer and drummer Eleonora Claps adds some more festive cheer with some jazzified pop tunes.
A stellar trio, including some of the most cherished players on the London scene, provides the backbone for the evening: John Crawford (piano – who also plays some of his own Latin jazz-infused compositions), Andy Hamill (bass), and Mike Bradley (drums).
