Maximilian Lamprecht
1901 Arts Club, SE1 8UE , [Venue Details]As part of the 10-year anniversary celebrations, Heppleston Double Basses is proud to present a night of music with Max Lamprecht at 1901 Arts Club on the evening of Thursday, 30 July 2026.
"This programme represents two different stories.
The first half represents the old and new of Italian Bass repertoire first by Bottesini who is the most well known bass composer of all time and also the sonata from Valentina Ciardelli showing the new direction Italian bass playing is going.
The second half is a brief walk through my life as a bass player. Kicho represents my time in school at Edinburgh, being the first piece that made me want to be a bass player.
The Gismonti represents my time at the RCS dabbling in folk and klezma music. The piece by Alex Verster represents my time at Trinity Laban championing one of their best exports. And the last piece was written by my mother."
