The band is a project set up by long-time collaborators, Shirley Smart (cello), Joe Browne (saxophone) and Christian Miller.
The musicians first played together in the Melange Collective, which was formed by Shirley after returning to London from a ten year period in Jerusalem. This ensemble can be seen as something of a reincarnation, only with a greater emphasis on improvisation and a renewed sense of energy fuelled by the musicians’ immersion in the London jazz scene.
