On Saturday 2nd August, Somewhere Soul touches down at Fox & Firkin for a full day & night takeover, bringing 12 hours of live music, deep selections and soulful energy across garden and club.

Formed in 1991 by Gary Crosby OBE, the mighty Jazz Jamaica have rightly earned their reputation as “one of the UK’s leading good-time bands” (The Independent) from their many exuberant live performances and dynamic album releases over the past three decades.

A Crazy Coqs favourite for over a decade, Jamie is widely regarded as one the most in demand pianists in the UK and has recently toured with Kylie Minogue, Will Young, Ian Shaw & The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars amongst many others (Laufey, Tony Hadley, Mica Paris).

The Fallen Heroes are legends in the West End music scene known for their high energy performances celebrating New Orleans Jazz, Rhythm and Blues.

Hailed by critics as the toughest and most creative group of his career, Tommy Smith’s KARMA sees the brilliant Scottish saxophonist lead a band of virtuosic musicians on a deeply grooving acid jazz adventure that draws on influences from around the world.

We present live music every night performed by a rotation of residents and guests. Each night there are two performances, one at around 730pm and another at around 9pm. Both performances are approximately 45 - 60 mins long. If you book a table you will catch at least one of the performances.

Noah Stoneman returns to the Vortex with his UK trio to premier brand new music written over the last year in New York. Suprising, dynamic and direct compositions and improvising from these long-time collaborators.

Alex Garnett’s powerful, flowing, hard bop sax has been heard with some of Europe's leading bands, performing in over 30 countries with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Van Morrison and Jools Holland.

Saturday night with renowned jazz, afrobeat, dance and avant-gardé musician Bukky Leo and his Afrobeat Band.

Headliner Bukky grew up in Lagos Nigeria, where he was spotted practising his first saxophone by the original afro-beat drummer Tony Allen.

Phil Meadows has received two Parliamentary Jazz Awards, a London Music Award and the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award for his music.
